May is officially CAMRA’s month for Mild and the Norfolk Brewhouse is right behind them with another superb brew of Moon Gazer Dark Mild.
The Mild is worthy of a month all for itself and there’s a bit more to a Mild than many of our memories of an old man in a flat cap propping up the bar with a half pint pot filled with something thick and dark.
Get out and give them a try – Moon Gazer Dark Mild is a strong dark mild with a subtle blackcurrant aroma, full-bodied with a rich, fruity, sweet finish. Sweet tasting and easy drinking for a strong mild at 4.9% ABV.
Brewed using hops called Pilgrim and Progress – not sure we can claim Moon Gazer Dark Mild to be a “journey to heaven” (as used to described the film adaptation of John Bunyan’s beloved classic The Pilgrim’s Progress) – but we reckon you should pop out and give it a try … recently delivered to and available soon at The King’s Head Holt; The Trafford Arms, The Murderers, The Vine and The Jubilee, Norwich; The Honingham Buck; Kelling Heath Holiday Park; Three Horseshoes, Briston; Royal Standard, Dereham and The Limes, Fakenham – phew!
